Tracking Scripts
Tracking Scripts can be enabled on individual Navattic demos to track things like session recordings, demo engagement, and more. These scripts run on your demo viewer's browser and send data directly to a third-party platform. Tracking script data does not pass through Navattic's servers.
- Demo engagement data will only be sent for demos with Tracking Scripts enabled
- Tracking scripts are not automatically enabled in Navattic product demos
Here is an example scenario when the HubSpot tracking script is enabled:
- A visitor to your marketing website is identified using a HubSpot Cookie that becomes associated with their browser profile.
- When this visitor interacts with a HubSpot form on your site, the email is used to attach a Hubspot Contact to this Cookie. The visitor's form fill information does not enter Navattic.
- When this visitor interacts with your Navattic demo with tracking scripts enabled, HubSpot will recognize the visitor's HubSpot Cookie and record demo activity as a "page view" under the appropriate HubSpot Contact.
Tracking Scripts are great for sales use cases where demos are shared with contacts who already exist in Hubspot or Marketo, or in instances where individual visitor information is not required (ex. sending session recordings to PostHog).
Navattic Workspace Admins may enable Tracking Scripts on any demo in just a few clicks: Visit your Navattic demo > click the three dots next to the Share button > Tracking scripts > add the appropriate ID.
A custom domain is required to setup tracking scripts with Hubspot or Marketo. Custom domains are included on the Navattic Growth plan. Please contact [email protected] to add this to your plan.
Use the detailed setup guides below to add each script and recommended reporting options.
