Templates give you a starting point for a new demo. Navattic includes a set of templates for common demo types. Workspace admins can also save any demo as a template for the rest of the team.

Create a demo from a template

Open the templates window

On the Product demos page, click Templates. The Demo templates window lists your workspace templates first, then the System templates included with Navattic.

Preview a template

Click Preview on a card to open that template in a new tab and click through it before you use it.

Create the demo

Click Use template. Navattic creates a demo from the template, adds it to the board you are viewing, and opens the new demo. Rename it, edit the flows, then publish it when it is ready.
If your workspace has reached its demo limit, Navattic prompts you to upgrade instead of creating the demo.

Save a demo as a template

Only workspace admins can save, edit, or delete templates.

Open Save as template

On the Product demos page, click the … menu on the demo you want to reuse, then click Save as template. You can also open a demo and click Save as template in the menu at the top right of the demo builder.

Name the template

Template name is filled in with the name of the demo. Edit the name, add a Description of what the template is for, then click Save template.
Your template then appears in the Demo templates window under your workspace name, above the system templates, with a thumbnail of the demo.
A template holds a copy of the demo as it was when you saved it. Later edits to the original demo do not change the template, and they do not change demos already created from the template.

Edit or delete a workspace template

In the Demo templates window, click the … menu on one of your workspace templates:
  • Edit changes the name and description of the template. The demo content saved in the template stays the same.
  • Delete removes the template from the window.
Deleting a template cannot be undone. Demos you already created from that template are not affected.

FAQs

No. A template is independent of the demo it was saved from. To capture newer work, save the updated demo as a new template and delete the old one.
Any member who can create demos can preview a template and use it. Saving, editing, and deleting templates is limited to workspace admins.
Not from the Demo templates window, which edits only the name and description. To change the content, create a demo from the template, edit that demo, and save it as a template again.
